 SCA organized two competitions annually in Switzerland, the Swiss Cheer Open and the National Swiss Cheer Championship. Listed below are other cheer competitions in Switzerland hosted by partners.

Swiss Nationals 2026

Each year, the SCA also hosts the Swiss National Championship to crown the official Swiss champions in competitive cheer and performance cheer divisions. All SCA member clubs are eligible to participate and are contacted directly when the registration period opens. 

The SCA rules committee reviews and updates the competition rules annually to ensure fair, safe and up‑to‑date standards for all participating athletes and teams.

Swiss Cheer Open 2026

Tickets are now on sale!

The Swiss Cheer Open is an open championship with a wide range of categories for both national and international athletes and teams. It usually takes place at the beginning of February and offers a platform for clubs to gain competition experience early in the season. The SCO is also part of the European Cheer League (ECL), giving participating teams the opportunity to collect points and gain visibility on the European stage.

Competition Rules

SCA follows ECU and ICU rules, with some adaptations. Find all information about the rules here.  

The European Cheer League Rules for Season 2025 can be found here. All teams who want to receive points for ECL divisions need to be registered in the jot form available on the ECL homepage. In the ECL, athletes can compete in the following divisions:

  • Senior Team Cheer Pom (SP)

  • Junior Team Cheer Pom (JP)

  • Youth Team Cheer Pom (YP)

  • Senior Doubles Cheer Pom (SPD)

  • Junior Doubles Cheer Pom (JPD)

The Mountain Cup

A competition in March, set in the Eastern part of Switzerland offering a variety of cheerleading divisions.

The Swiss Royale

An interantional competition in May, organized by The Spirit Network. They offer American professionalism and bids to international competitions.
